Alone, Harry entered the last door. Immediately he noticed someone standing with their back to him. But, it wasn't Snape, it was Quirrell. Harry was very confused. This didn't make any sense. It was Snape that wanted the stone for Voldemort and Snape wanted to kill Harry. So why was Quirrell here and not him? He then told Harry that it wasn't Snape at all. Snape in fact was trying to save his life on that broom, while he tried to buck him off. Before Harry knew it Quirrell was tying him tightly so he would not escape, while he tried to figure out the mirror. He tells Harry that he can see himself holding the stone in the reflection, but he didn't know how to get it. Then from out of no where a voice said clearly "use the boy". Quirrell seemed to obey the bodiless voice. He untied Harry and forced him to stand in front of the mirror. Harry knew already what he would see. It would be his parents as always. And perhaps in that moment he needed them more then ever. But... as he gazed at his reflection, he saw something completely unexpected. It was himself standing there alone. Then his reflection did something with out Harry moving. It reached into his pocket and pulled out a small deep red stone. Then it winked at him and slipped it back into his pocket. Harry suddenly felt as though someone had really just put something into his pocket. He reached down and sure enough, the stone was actually inside. Quirrell noticed Harry flinch and asked him what he saw. He lied, said that he won the house cup. But, then he heard that voice again, "He lies". This time though, Harry realized that the voice was coming from Quirrell and he started to unwrap his turban and to Harry's horror another face was petruding from the back of Quirrell's head. It was the face of Voldemort. Voldemort told Harry that if he wanted to see his parents alive, all he had to do was to give him the stone. Harry refused and made a run for it, but Quirrell tried to stop him. He got Harry tightly around the neck. Then something happened that Harry could not explain. Quirrell could not hold on to him. The moment he had made contact with him, he started to blister badly. Then he went for the stone but Harry pushed him back, his hand on Quirrell's face! The last thing he remembers was screaming.

Harry awoke in the Hospital Wing with Dumbledore looking over him. He had so many questions for Dumbledore, but he would only answer what he could. Afterwards Harry was delighted to see Ron and Hermione and that they were both alright. During the final feast the House Cup was to be awarded. Gryffindor was in last place while Slytherin appeared to have won. BUT, Dumbledore had some last minute points to award. 50 points were awarded to Hermione for her cool use of intellect in the face of danger. 50 to Ron for playing the best game of chess Hogwarts has seen in years. 60 to Harry for pure nerve and outstanding bravery. Finally, 10 points to Neville for standing up to his friends. Which means Gryffindor had won the House Cup! Cheers from not only Gryffindor, but Hufflepuff and Ravenclaw roared in the great hall! After the feast, it was time for them to head back on the train. Another summer with the Dursleys was something Harry was not looking forward to. Then again...They didn't know he wasn't allowed to use magic. Could be fun after all... Thus, ends Harry's first year at Hogwarts!
