The world of Harry Potter begins at the Dursley house. Normal everyday life for the family on 4 privet drive, until strange things begin to occur. Seeing hundreds of owls, strange shooting stars and people in colorful robes. What could be happening? The Wizarding world is overjoyed and celebrating the downfall of Voldemort (an evil wizard who is often known as "He who must not be named") who apparently disappeared while trying to kill Harry Potter with a killing curse who is only 1 year old.

Left with a scar, Harry is brought to Privet Drive by Hagrid and Albus Dumbledore to live with his Aunt and Uncle. Dumbledore and McGonagall meet Hagrid and baby Harry at the Dursleys around midnight. Dumbledore placed Harry on the doorstep with a note to the Dursleys. The reason for keeping Harry at the Dursleys is to keep Harry away from all the fame that has surrounded his name in the wizarding world and from harm by Voldemort's supporters still at large. Voldemort has killed some of the most powerful wizards but he couldn't kill Harry Potter and remains a mystery.
